What are the written document file size and format requirements?
When filling in the general information about a written document, what is a "short description"?
- What are the written document file size and format requirements?
File size: The size of your written document should be no larger than 80 kilobytes (Kb), which is comparable to about 6,000 characters.
Written Document Format: You may attach written documents that are in MS Word (.doc), Text (.txt), or Adobe Portable Document (.pdf) (preferred method). Make sure the written document has a filename extension (such as partner.doc or organization.pdf).
- When filling in the general information about a written document, what is a "short description"?
The short description appears when a user's mouse rolls over your written document. It can be as short as an “excerpt,” or “article.”
You should limit your short description to 60 characters.
- How do I save a file as a PDF?
You must have Adobe Acrobat Distiller installed on your computer.To create a written document in the PDF format, follow these steps:
Step 1:
Open the written document that you want to convert to Adobe PDF in its authoring application (such as Microsoft Word).Step 2:
Select (File /"Print").Step 3:
Select Acrobat Distiller from the list of printers.>Step 4:
Select OK.
By default, Distiller appends the extension .pdf. Distiller will ask you for a location in which to save your newly created pdf.
Note: Printer selection differs widely between different computer operating systems. To find additional information on setting the Acrobat Distiller within the Acrobat application, select (Help/"Acrobat Help").
