After you sign up, the Delaware Notification Service (DNS) lets you select which notifications, news, and information you'd like to receive by E-mail. For select services, you can also receive notifications by a phone call, text message, and/or fax. DNS notifications include:

In response to Senate Bill 33, which became law in July 2001, the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) developed this system to help Delawareans learn promptly of releases or discharges of contaminants or pollutants that meet or exceed certain thresholds in their neighborhoods or throughout the state.
The DGDC List is designed to allow the Delaware GIS Community to share information related to spatial data and the Geographic Information System (GIS) software tools that use that data. It is an open list. Anyone may join this list by using the on-line form located on the DGDC List web page.

The Office of Management and Budget, Government Support Services, provides an email list to inform subscribers of available excess State property, special items for purchase via bid, notification of their Vehicle and Heavy Equipment Auctions, and notification of online auctions.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control provides email lists to enable interested citizens to receive information from the department as quickly as possible regarding the following topics: Beach Monitoring, Biodiversity, Contracts, Enforcement Actions, Fisheries, Metachem, Mosquito Control Spraying, Observer, Ozone Alerts, Press Releases, Public Notices, and Wildlife.

The log cabin originated in Finland. Finnish settlers arrived in Delaware in the mid-1600s and brought with them plans for the log cabin, one of the enduring symbols of the American pioneer. One of the cabins has been preserved and is on display at the Delaware Agricultural Museum in Dover.
