About the Partner / Provider

The Home of the Brave Foundation was established to furnish food, shelter and counseling to veterans of the Armed Forces of the USA without regard to sex, race, color, or creed.

Our History

Eight Vietnam combat veterans came together, in 1992, over the concern of an increasing number of veterans becoming homeless and the lack of housing and resources.  The original eight each contributed $1 to start the bank account to purchase a home.

In 1994 the first Home of the Brave facility was opened with 4 beds.  In 1996 the current male program with 15 beds was opened with the majority of funding provided by a grant from the Federal Department of Veterans Affairs.  The female program opened in March of 2014 and can house up to 8 women and children.
