About the Partner / Provider

This organization provides job skills training and education to all our veterans and their families.

The Delaware State Parks Conservation Corps -  Veterans Corps is an AmeriCorps National Service Program focused on engaging military veterans and/or military family members in environmental stewardship activities and trail work throughout Delaware State Parks.

 

Members will engage in

  • trails work
  • Invasive plant survey, identification and control by mechanical and chemical removal
  • Park meadow and shoreline maintenance

Members will work as a team under the direction of a team leader, statewide and receive training, certifications and hands-on experience that can help members gain the skills and experience necessary for employment in the  natural resources field.

Program term - October 2015-August 2016, 37.5 hours per week

Must be at least 18 years old, high school diploma or GED, and must be a military veteran and/or family member.
