U.S. Department of Labor, Veterans' Employment and Training Service. Provide assistance to Veterans. Veterans' Employment and Training Service, State of Delaware Director (DVET). He oversee the Local Veterans Employment Representative and Disable Veteran Outreach Reprsentative in each One-Stop Career Centers. Veteran Represetative assist transtioning Veterans, Disable Veterans and Veteran with employment needs to include a number of services listed below:
Comprehensive assessment of education, skills, and abilities; In–depth interviewing and evaluation to identify employment barriers and appropriate employment goals; Group and individual career coaching;Short-term pre-vocational services that may include development of learning and communication skills, interviewing skills, personal maintenance skills, and professional conduct to prepare individuals for career goal; Planning and participation in job fairs;Coordinating with unions, apprenticeship programs, and business organizations to promote employment and training opportunities for Veterans;Informing Federal Contractors of their responsibility to recruit and retrain qualified Veterans; Promoting credentialing and training opportunities for Veterans with training providers and licensing agencies.
