About the Partner / Provider

The State Council for Persons with Disabilities (SCPD), Traumatic Brain Injury Fund is a payor of last resort for individuals with a traumatic brain injury. Eligibility for Traumatic Brain Injury Fund assistance is limited to full-time Delaware residents with a qualifying traumatic brain injury resulting in partial or total disability who would benefit from covered services, treatments, therapies, or equipment which otherwise would not be readily available through their healthcare insurance, the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) or other state agencies.

Covered services include, but are not limited to: driver assessment, driver training rehabilitation, service dog acquisition and support for injuries directly related to a traumatic brain injury, accessible home or environmental modifications,  assistive technology, medical equipment not covered by an applicant's existing insurance provider(s) but recommended as beneficial or necessary for an applicant and other services directly related to an individual's traumatic brain injury.

Information and applications for Delaware's Traumatic Brain Injury Fund are available on the SCPD website at: https://scpd.delaware.gov/brain-injury-funds.shtml.

Assistance is available for anyone needing help completing the application.
