Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) goal of is eliminating Veteran homelessness. In doing so, the HVOC provides outreach to homeless Veterans, Veterans at imminent risk of homelessness, and incarcerated Veterans; while maintaining case management coordination and accountability mechanisms. The HVOC also maintains an effective network, liaison and referral system with active programs providing services to homeless Veterans.
Homeless Veterans may be eligible for a wide-variety of benefits available to all U.S. military Veterans. VA benefits include disability compensation, pension, education and training, health care, home loans, insurance, vocational rehabilitation and employment, and burial.
